For many SaaS tools, onboarding is use-case specific. Choose Your Own Adventure is a great way to create a "landing experience" where a user can opt into a path (read more here).
But what happens after a user completes a path?
By default, the user gets a success banner and their next onboarding guide may be launched.
How to create a serial CYOA experience.
When creating these branching guide experiences, you can opt in to allow users to choose another path after completing the first path.
Note: we currently don't support multiple paths in parallel and find end-users tend to get distracted. Parallel paths are no better than many tabs with different help articles open – in theory lots of info but in practice can slow down progress.
By default, users can hide (aka dismiss) this block if the other paths aren't relevant. To keep these cards on-screen (particularly if you plan on adding paths over time that active users should see), you can prevent hiding.
How this looks to end users
Your customers will see a timestamp for any paths that are completed. They can re-access those guides in the "Previous guides" section. From here, they can select another option.
The Hide / Dismiss link will go away if you uncheck the option to "Allow user to hide/dismiss future paths"
Important launching call-out
Create your CYOA guides and attach your branches to that guide. Launch your CYOA guide but DO NOT LAUNCH the branched guides.
