How to stay organized and find your guides in the guide library

The guide library in Bento houses all experiences (except split tests and NPS suveys). It is where you will find all the in-app guide experiences that you or your team have created for your users

Private vs. public name

The name of the guide that will show up in the guide library is by default the guide title that you set.

  • For checklists and announcements, we have the option to set a private name for your guide for more clear labelling and organization.

  • For tooltips, flows, embedded cards, the guide title will never show to your users so a private name is not required.

Setting a template private name

  • If you want to set a private name, reach out and we will turn on the feature flag for you.

  • Navigate to any onboarding guide or contextual checklist template

  • Click into the 3-dot menu at the top left and choose "Details"

  • Here you can set guide scope and the private name of your guide.

Library search

When you are looking for a guide you need you can search for it by name (private name) and it should show up.

Library filters

If you want to find multiple guides in the library at once I would recommend our filters. Filter by:

  • component type (onboarding, contextual, card, flow, tooltip, modal, banner, video gallery)

  • status (live, stopped, removed, draft)

  • scope (user or account)

  • audience (uses the saved audiences you created to find guides that those audiences are eligible for)

  • user (search by any user email to see what guide they are eligible for)

  • last edited by (filter by admin user names to find guides that you edited last)

Keeping your library updated

Often we stop or remove guides from end users resulting in a long list of guides that are no longer active.

We recommend frequent 'Marie Kondo'ing' of your library.

  • You can bulk select by hovering to the left of the guide name to see a check box.

  • Select the guides you are no longer using or will not need as a template in the future

  • In the top right you will see bulk actions. You can delete your guides at once. This is permanent, we can not restore deleted guides.
