There's an onboarding guide for you in app, but sometimes people want an easy way to share.

So you've signed up for a trial of Bento, congrats! Let's get started:

At a high level, 4 things will need to happen for you to really see the magic of Bento:

  1. You should build a guide or embedded card.

    • You can build a tour, or an announcement modal, but the coolest part of Bento (that no one else has), are the onboarding checklists and embedded cards you can add to your app.

    • Read more here

  2. An engineer will need to install the Bento javascript snippet and deploy it.

    • You don't need this to happen before you start building and previewing your guides!

    • But you do need this to happen before you can place Bento guides into a page, or launch guides to yourself.

  3. Download our chrome extension

    1. This will enable you to place experiences in your product. Read more here.

  4. Set up your styles to match your app's brand.

    • Bento inherits fonts, sizes, etc from your app, but do you want to show a progress ring for your toggle? Do you want the sidebar collapse icon to be a chevron or an "x"? That's all up to you.

    • You can instantly preview all style changes from within Bento.
